★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. As a foreigner at reasonable prices there is a great choice of foods and drinks. Also some boutique foods that are really nice. For some weird reason business outside of the Amsterdam city area do not accept VISA or Master Card. Important. So either pay cash or Maestro (don't know what that is). Also AH has these self pay machines that are easy to use, but at the beginning a bit intimidating. Oh! and bring your own bags or buy one there to carry your food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the staff can be very unfriendly. The bonus offers are very often sold out during the week, no matter whether you come in the morning, midday, or evening. When you ask, they say 'maybe tomorrow', but it is still not there. The selection of organic food is very limited. There are sometimes thousands of people filling the shelves, not paying any attention to the customers. You almost need to ask whether you are allowed to take something. Besides that, the staff can give you the feeling that you are disturbing them rather than being a customer who is welcome. It's one of the worst AH I have ever seen in the Netherlands.
