About Almere Centrum
Het Mainport Innovation Fund (MIF) is een collectief van partners bestaande uit Schiphol, KLM, TU Delft, Havenbedrijf Amsterdam en NS die elkaar vinden in de ambitie om ondernemers in een vroeg stadium te ondersteunen met geld en expertise om te kunnen groeien. Op basis van een actieve scout-functie komen jonge ondernemers op de radar die innovatieve oplossingen bieden in domeinen zoals mobiliteit, transport en duurzaamheid. Naast investeren heeft NS ook de mogelijkheid om als launching customer op te treden.

β β β β β This station is so ugly and bad, it doesnt do justice to the city of Almere and the city center which is directly outside it. The city center is worth a visit and is very modern, this station is old and ugly and should be avoided if possible.

β β β β β I do agree with the aforementioned reviews. The station looks nice, has good connections with a bus network down below but the station could do with a refurbishment to be more up to date with modern demand.

β β β β β Everything is close by. You can get the best drinks at Hudson or Bierfabriek. Great food at Rosita's, Hudson, Cubanita, Vapiano, Five Guys, Beren, and many other places. Arcade games can be played in The Gamebox and a spacious and modern cinema is around the corner as well. And of course all the shops you need. All just a few minutes walking in a city center with nice modern architecture.

β β β β β There are no toilets.
The piano is a really nice addition and the fact that there are some necessary kiosks.
The worst experience was when during one very windy they they cancelled all the trains.
And then kept us inside and told us that we cannot go anywhere because of the wind.
We have to spend there over two hours till they let us go home. Of course no trains that day.
Otherwise okay.
It is great that it is in the centre of Almere where you can easily access all kinds of different shops.

β β β β β The train station is accessible but it's looks are not good when compared to other NS train stations. It needs an upgrade, because it does not give honor to the city in this way.
Though, it's very accessible by car, bike, on foot and by bus.

β β β β β When I visited Almere Stad around 30 years ago, this whole site was still a flat grassland, with a railway station out of nowhere. I remember taking a train from here to Amsterdam.
2017, this station is called Almere Centrum. I visited this train station quite a lot since it is one of the bigger stations, where you can catch an intercity train to Lelystad or Amsterdam.
Sadly, I agree with other reviews. This station desperately needs at least a makeover. Almere deserves better.

β β β β β Itβs certainly better than the other station in the Almere area. But for some reason it still has a relatively dark feel to it. The low roof may have some part to play in this regards. There is certainly better protection from the elements and there is seating inside a shielded room.
Construction still going on. Assuming itβs a work in progress.
