Alternatively, trains go to Amsterdam Central Station every 15 minutes (5,50 euro per person). From the station you can take a taxi (approx. 17,50 euro) or a streetcar (3,20 euro per person, cash not accepted, only bankcard, Visa or Master card). Please take streetcar-line 2, 11 or 12. Get off at the third stop called “Spui”. Walk ten meters direction “Spui-square” and turn right to go into the alley between 2 café’s: “Café Hoppe” and “Café Zwart”. Cross the canal called Singel and walk to the 2nd canal, Herengracht, where you turn right before the bridge. The hotel is located 50 meters further on the right-hand side, at number 341.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing and quaint hotel, perfect location facing the canal! During lockdown, they even set up a dining table and chairs plus cutleries for our takeaways since indoor dinings were closed! Super thoughtful service, and oh the bonus point - toilet marble floor is heated during winter and it was the most bougie thing ever! Pro tip: Get a room CLOSE to the elevator! It’s a older building with lots of steep and narrow stairs, so ask for room closer to the elevators if possible.

Could not have had a better experience. Great shopping and architecture in every direction. The staff was top notch, they were incredibly friendly and helpful every chance they got. The exquisite decor throughout the hotel creates a most relaxing atmosphere. From the design and comfort of my room, to the delicious food in the Brasserie - it was a truly marvellous experience. I want to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of the staff for making my stay so memorable.

And we were very happy with the service of the staff, the nice food at Brasserie Ambassade with the artwork, and the cocktail we had in the Library Bar. Also recommended: floating and massage at their wellness centre, wow so relaxing.
