About Brasserie Ambassade
A stylish four-star hotel in the centre of Amsterdam with 56 rooms and suites. It is located in 16 stunning canal houses, part of the Amsterdam canal belt area and is on the Unesco World Heritage List since 2010. The Ambassade Hotel is well-known for its outstanding service and its unique collection of CoBrA art. Hotel guests and visitors can view more than 800 artworks, in all the rooms and public areas of the hotel. Furthermore, in the library bar of the hotel, more than 5000 first edition books are displayed. These books have all been hand-signed by famous authors during their stay at the Ambassade Hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second time coming here after 3 years. We had a lovely table at the canal. The service by the staff (I think our waiters name was Ahmed according to the bill) was excellent. The food and drinks were very good again.
This is definitely one of the best French restaurants I’ve ever been to. Thank you for the great food and service provided!

The food is average with limited choice.
I had the snails a a starter and could barely find snails - lots of garlic butter though
The ravioli was ok yet good have had more taste.
My friend had salmon as starter (ok) then tuna which was cold.

Meat and fish were prepared to perfection and the different garnishments complemented ideally. If you are looking for a high class bit not too expensive restaurant this might be the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant was quite busy late on Friday evening so we couldn't get a table inside the restaurant. They accommodated us so we could eat dinner in the library salon downstairs which had a nice ambiance to it. We ordered Cod fish, duck for main course each. Main courses were amazing. They messed up our dessert order and we had to remind them when it didn't arrive after about an hour. Desserts weren't anything exciting and you can skip that.
