Not the most beautiful station, but clean, subways run on time and plenty of shops.

Sometimes the train skips this station and I can reach Schagen by metro from Central, so if the train does not run here I always go to Central

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Goede treinverbinding tussen Amsterdam en Rotterdam of Utrecht. Zowel sprinters als intercity's stoppen hier. Lang perron en genoeg winkeltjes of eetgelegenheden zijn hier.
Good train connection between Amsterdam and Rotterdam or Utrecht. Both sprinters and intercity trains stop here. Long platform and enough shops or places to eat are here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het Amstelstation ligt dichtbij de Amstel en hoofdkantoren van grote bedrijven als Philips en Delta Loyd. U kunt hier op-, uit- en overstappen op onder andere de trein, tram, metro en bus. Er is een gratis bewaakte fietsenstalling en een fietsenmaker. Ook zijn hier aardig wat winkels om een kleinigheid te kopen en wat kleine eetgelegenheden. Er is een betaald openbaar toilet in het station. Het station heeft ruime openingstijden, tot een half uur na vertrek van de laatste trein. Aan de Oostkant van het station is een taxistandplaats en dit is ook de kiss and ride plek. Let goed op dat u niet bij de verkeerde maatschappij uitcheckt met uw OV-chipkaart. Er is gratis WiFi van KPN.
The Amstel station is close to the Amstel and head offices of major companies such as Philips and Delta Loyd. You can get on, off and transfer here, for example, to the train, tram, metro and bus. There is a free guarded bicycle parking and a bicycle repair shop. There are also quite a few shops here to buy a small item and some small eateries. There is a paid public toilet in the station. The station has long opening times, up to half an hour after the departure of the last train. There is a taxi rank on the east side of the station and this is also the kiss and ride spot. Make sure you do not check out at the wrong company with your OV chip card. There is free WiFi from KPN.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been walking through this beautiful station for a couple of years now, and frankly I am LOVING how its turning out after all these renovations. The place feel so much bigger and has alot more natural light. 10/10 would continue to walk through for another couple of years!
