★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Convenient station if like me you stay at holiday Inn express which is beside it. No 22 bus gets you to central station in about 15mins and they are frequent. No. 19 tram takes you to museums in about 20mins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had no problems, caught both buses and trains to and from, everything arrived in a timely fashion. Love the rainbow crossing. Also had never been on a double decker train before (sprinter to centraal) so that was fun. Short walk to Holland Casino west.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an easy to use train station with lots of staff on sight. However some of the platforms are a few minutes walk away in a separate building which can cause you to miss the train if you don't know which platform you should be at beforehand. Trains also often run late from this station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station is a railway station in the northwest of the Dutch city of Amsterdam. The station has an important function as a transfer station and has ten platform tracks. For the overland metro it is a viaduct station. It serves metro line 50 from Isolatorweg to Gein and metro line 51 from Isolatorweg to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The Thalys does not stop at this station. I sometimes pass through it either on a train from or to Amsterdam Centraal Station, or on a metro visiting Rataplan thrift shop at Isolatorweg. My picture was captured from my seat in the lower deck inside an intercity double-deck train on my way to Amsterdam.
