★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edit: Got a call from the manager/owner about my review and thought long and hard on whether I should remove my review, as I pointed out this happened many years ago but that just goes to show how much this experience has effected me. I have been told that those Vets that saw to me are no longer working there anyways and that it is very much an unique case. So there is not much they can do really. All I will do is change my 1 star to a 3 and hope that this review will get buried with positive review.
This happened quite a few years ago now but it still plagues my memory and I feel deeply hurt whenever it pops into my mind. My mother and I brought in our 16year old Shiba dog who was definitely silently suffering. When we were seen to the two vets instead had a go at us for bringing the dog in so late and therefore prolonging his pain. Their lack of empathy whilst we were obviously very upset was shocking and they said nothing to console the fact that we had to put him down. Not only did they totally fail in patient management they then proceeded to say, "I understand that this type of dog is really important to you people." Ignoring the fact that I am born and raised in the Netherlands but am ethnically Chinese, I explained to them that Shibas are Japanese. To which they then rebutted with, "well how do see the difference between a Japanese person and a Chinese person". This highly ignorant and racist conversation was all held whilst my dog was lying there slowly dying. I think, this memory with the feelings or anger will stay with me for many more years to come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely helpful and considerate staff. They pay attention to what you tell them and explain what might be happening with your pet, how the treatment works, what else to do to improve your pet's well-being, etc. I trust them with my pet 100%.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far have had really good experiences bringing both my cats there. The vet is really nice and she does a great job handeling both of them. The front desk women have also been very friendly and knowledgable. They take time to explain all medications and answer any questions. They always have quick availability which is a huge plus for me but as others mentioned, they are a little pricey but I have little experience with vets elsewhere in the Netherlands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kind people, very relaxing place where your pets get treated in a professional way. I went there a few times for my friends' dog, for his medicine and shampoo. No complaints whatsoever

Came for a 18:40 pm appointment UNDER THE RAIN at the Rotterdam Kraligen clinic just to learn that it wasn t at the clinic in Rotterdam but Hillegersberg.
Seriously, this is basic communication

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am currently extremely disappointed with the laparoscopic sterilisation my dog went through. The incisions are much larger than what we had been discussing. They are most certainly NOT 0.5-1 cm (more like 2+ cm each on a small dog) and the vet did not bother using dissolvable stitches or make the scar more or less "cosmetic". I have seen much better examples of laparoscopic sterilisation being done on similar size dogs in other clinics in Rotterdam. To be honest, it is really the worst result out of all our friends' dogs. The worst part is that my dog is in a lot of pain and the vet brushed it off and basically said that she is bring dramatic. We are taking her to an emergency vet visit today because of post-surgery complications.
