Al vroeg in de morgen is het een drukte van belang bij Anne&Max. Het brood, de croissants en de scones worden afgebakken. De dagelijks geleverde ingrediënten worden gesneden of verwerkt tot heerlijke sappen. Er wordt frisse ijsthee gemaakt en de koffie wordt uitgebreid getest op smaak en contrast om de lekkerste espressi en cappuccini te kunnen maken. Elke dag weer en elke dag vers!
Al meer dan 15 jaar is Anne&Max een huiskamer in de stad.En al 15 jaar doen we dat aan de hand van onze waarden: open, eerlijk, zorgzaam, betrokken en respectvol. Als iets niet aan die norm voldoet… doen we het niet.
Daarom hebben we al 15 jaar veelal bio, biodynamische, fairtrade, direct-trade, labelrouge of gewoon hele goede eerlijke producten met een bijzonder verhaal. Werken we al 15 jaar direct en indirect met mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt en werken we er al 15 jaar aan om elk jaar nog beter te worden in onze MVO doelstellingen. Of zoals we bij Anne&Max zeggen: zodat alles dat goed smaakt, ook goed voelt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant ambiance, nice food, friendly waiters, but an unprofessional barista and hence mediocre coffee. Ordered a filter coffee but got a French press instead with zero explanation, and when asked I was told she "was cleaning the machine and would have to make a large batch". What was I thinking ordering a small filter coffee 1.5 hours before closing time, apparently that was a huge inconvenience because she seemed in a rush to get off work for a late lunch at the nearby table. I pointed this out at checkout to the waitress (who was really nice and apologised) - and the barista overheard me mentioning it and started making comments (in Dutch) to the waitress which I overheard and understood. Honestly extremely rude and unpleasant. Strange attitude towards customers a la "I'm doing you a huge favour, be happy you got your coffee even though it's not what you wanted". I have to add she did offer to make me another one with "so you want another coffee?" (which I politely declined), because frankly she should have made the effort in the first place and not when I complained. What, the machine was suddenly available or she'd make more effort with a v60 or chemex now? Oh and I was also told "I should have asked for that "specifically", like ordering a filter coffee wouldn't justify her effort in making a large batch for a small cup. Strange attitude, so I don't feel like coming back or recommending this place. I didn’t get what I ordered and was almost told off - highly unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My all time favorite cafe place. Does not matter in which city it locates. Webhad an amazing two persons breakfast for a lazy morning and of course my favorite sweet drink from Anne&Max. Love the place set up. Still new in Breda!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Started out great. We had a tasty focaccia and ended up ordering a piece of cake and cup of coffee as deserts. After twenty minutes , no coffee or cake. Asked if they forgot about us, “sorry something went wrong , it’s coming now” Another 15 minutes pass and still nothing. Second reminder didn’t help either. We eventually gave up and asked to have the bill, I even had to argue that the we didn’t want to wait anymore so they should remove our desert order from the ticket. Waiter only said “ow sorry something went wrong” . Ridiculous place.
