★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the cheapest place to eat and drink, however, great waterfront location, lovely, helpful and friendly staff. Nine of us shared two platters - not only did that provide plenty of food it also really catered for everyone taste wise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic. We had the "Captain's plank" which is for two people and has a selection of meat and fish in various sauces, plus a generous cone of proper Dutch chips (i.e. not spindly french fries). The proprietor was very friendly and chatty, as were the locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hospitality is key when describing this place. A perfect place to go for an informal lunch of dinner. It's a nicely decorated restaurant, in one coherent theme. The owner is very hospitable, tends to chat for just the right amount of time, and the waiters/waitresses are patient. Food is very well made and presented nicely. Only point of caution are the seats. Most of them are aither bar stools or wooden benches, both too high to put your feet on the ground. There are normal seats available, though I recommend calling in advance for those.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though it's a lakeside restaurant. The fish didn't taste like it was freshly caught. And the mussels were average. The place is nice and cozy. I think we caught the waiting staff on a bad day, 2 glasses got broken, and 1 order was wrong. We had a nice meal and were comfortable.
