★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The street Machinekamer, near Area 51 is filled with iron pipes atop that are re-purposed as plant holders! The graffiti here is fantastic as well;

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be (one of) the best skatepark in the Netherlands.
Now I can only think: "Look how they massacred our park"
The rebuild visually looks awesome, however the park is way to compact for the amount of allowed visitors. Atm we're in a pandamic so I can only imagine it getting worse in the future.
Half of the park is now sacrificed for a foam pit and bmx trial that is unskateable. Besides that this half of the park was almost empty for the entire day while the bmxers seem to prefer the skateable part of the park aswel resulting in a overcrowded and unpleasant experience.
This experience in combination with an INCREASED entrance fee led me to write up this review.

Also wierd that there is a miniramp in the street section that goes in the other direction

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be a great skatepark. It's a shame to see what has become after the rebuild. The park layout and target audience is a joke to what they call 'the urban culture'. It's a huge waste of wood and taxpayers money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not a skatepark or creative venue anymore. It used to be created by people from the community of skateboarding, and people within creative communities in music and art. Instead of including these people the council decided to allow for the gentrification of a truly grate place. They placed above all a commercial mentality. The prices have gone up so substantially that the people who used to come here won’t have the benefit of their local place for community and engagement; even worse some kids who need accessible sports won’t have it anymore. This is a cash cow incentive and the creation of some person who wants a project on their resume with a large price tag attached to it. I am a Landscape and Urban designer and as professional I find how this has been done and handled a greatly wasted opportunity and waste of public money.
