Excellent food. Ingredients and beer from the region. Prepared with care and original. Pleasant informal service. Lovely terrace on a quiet road. Small walking distance from Applescha.

De posthoorn is een bijzonder gezellig restaurant waar je heerlijk een hele avond kan zitten eten. De bediening is vriendelijk en je voelt je écht gast. Er is geen kaart maar een krijtbord met gerechten die wisselen met de seisoenen. De gerechten worden gemaakt met streekproducten en smaken voortreffelijk. Hier wordt gekookt met passie en dat proef je.
Ook in de zomer periode hebben we heerlijk buiten op het terras gegeten. We komen er met enige regelmaat en vinden de prijs kwaliteit verhouding volledig in balans. Al met al een aanrader.
What does Appelscha have to offer? The post horn!
De posthoorn is a very cozy restaurant where you can sit and eat all evening. The service is friendly and you feel like a real guest. There is no menu, but a chalkboard with dishes that change with the seasons. The dishes are made with local produce and taste exquisite. They cook with passion and you can taste it.
Even in the summer period we had a lovely meal outside on the terrace. We come there regularly and find the price-quality ratio completely in balance. All in all, a must.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time at the Posthoorn. We stayed in early April right at the beginning of spring. The bed and breakfast is clean and easy to access. We had a great room with private entrance which makes things very nice. The host and hostess were very friendly. They provided an amazing breakfast of meats, cheeses, yogurt and bread. We especially enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Posthoorn also has a great restaurant. Be sure to get reservations for at least one night while you are were.
Walking and biking are steps from the B&B. About 5-10 minutes walk is the little town of Appelscha.
