★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend of mine recommended Bakery Li&U, so I felt compelled to try it out. I was super excited because the store had the most divine aroma when I stepped inside, but the pastries and buns were quite disappointing. I bought the char siew puff and the pastry puff was so thick! Also tried their egg tarts and it smelled more like vanilla essence than eggs. Prices are quite reasonable though, but not reason enough to return.
Edit: Pastries were also served ICE COLD, which is upsetting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm only interested in the egg rolls & egg tarts because I'm not an extreme sweet tooth. So far, the egg tarts are decent. I'd really recommend to them that they change the pastry dough of the tart to be something crunchy like the pate a choux tart. The custard is nice but the crust is underwhelming

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They help Chinese customers before 'foreign' customers. The food is dry and the staff is not polite at all to non-speaking customers. Better to walk around the corner into the Wagenstraat and buy your cakes and food there.
