The hotel looks reasonable in pictures, but the staff seems to be with very low customer care attitude and the same applies to management as well. Every-time when they enter to the room, they will switch of the air-condition. Then at least for me, the air conditioning caused some sickness kind of bacterium in their pipes? They switch off the key card and when asking the reason, they commented that You have pending amount and You need to pay the bill. Anyhow, they did have reservation for certain period with cover reservation from the credit card. So what's the purpose pay the bill every now and then. The priced included the breakfast and there is no control who eats and what. At the checkout, they started to ask of how many breakfast was eaten during the stay... Will not choose the same hotel again.

We had to be in the Brielle area for a wedding and being familiar with the Bastion hotel chain, we booked a room for one night. Unfortunately the hotel staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. We kindly asked for two beds to be put together, seen that we are a couple, and the answer that we received was: "then you can put them together yourself". I insisted they'd do this as a hotel service and in the end they did (but not with a happy face). After getting to the room, unpacking and getting wedding ready, we saw someone's else hair on the bed, on the chair and a hair clip clipped on the lamp of the nightstand. At this time we did not have time to request another room, we checked that the bed sheets were clean , which they were. The room smelled like sweat mixed with a men's perfume, luckily the windows open so we opened them immediately to let the room get some fresh air. The room was the right size for two people, the bathroom was a disaster. A tiny sink, either you bumped your head against the shelf above the sink or the whole bathroom floor got wet trying to wash your face or brush your teeth. The next morning at 10am a person knocks on the door and immediately after the door opens; it was the cleaning lady (FYI: check-out was at 12 hrs). Upon check-out we didn't receive the question if we enjoyed our stay. We paid and left. During our stay it was brought to our attention by hotel staff, seen the location of the hotel, 80% of their revenue is due to business and/or work men sleeping there. Unfortunately this is something that we recognized in how the hotel staff addresses people and how they do not provide from their own initiative, service that is expected from a hotel. Work guests, vacation guests; every person who enters a hotel is a guest and therefore should be treated professionally. A few positive points: free parking at the hotel, night concierge, across the street there are two big supermarkets and you're close to the old historical centre of Brielle. My feedback to the hotel: please train your staff to be professional at any time and to every person, this is your reputation. Also, make sure the hotel hygiene is on top of it's game, which now it is not.

Good hotel good service but bathroom is so small the sink design is horrible if you try to wash your face no way but to squeeze your head between the sink and a shelf over it other than that its excellent

It’s the second time I am in this hotel. They have a nice lobby and the first time I got a decent room even if the price was a bit high. This time the room is really poor. I never saw this room even in a 1 star hotel. It’s humid, noisy and facing the parking lot. Then the coffee cups are dirty like used and not cleaned, there are 18 degrees inside even if I set the temperature on 21 degrees and in the corridor it’s smelling of cigarette. The toilet is really bad and of course in the reception they told me they don’t have other available room. I don’t suggest a stay in here.

In the first room the water in the shower was so hot that it was impossible to take a shower. The second room was o.k. and even more modern. The "bike garage" does not offer a safe place for your bike at all. I would not even put an old Holland bike here. Breakfast o.k. The hotel is o.k. for a one night stay. (E.g. as a stop on a bike tour across the Netherlands)

nice og hotel with friendly people and fine breakfast and dinner option but the bathrooms are weird constructed where most of the space goes to the shower stall and not much else causing it dificult to close the door and use the sink. this did not bother me that much, but it is a problem that needs to be pointed out.
