L	Lachlan Mactavish on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice comfortable room with ensuite shower and air conditioning. Pay attention for the parking with the hotel. I had to pay 30 euros twice because the receptionist didn't register the first payment payed during check in. Not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. The position is excellent, 3 minutes on foot from the historical centre. Notwithstanding that the reception staff refused to recognize my double payment for parking I would still recommend this hotel for a stay in beautiful Maastricht.

The small problems I had in my stay were solved quickly and efficiently. Many points for the cleanliness and the quality of the meals. I will certainly be staying here again.

One day, I asked one of the receptionist to heat my food in the hotel's microwave and he said that there wasn't one. Later that day, I asked another receptionist if there was a microwave in the hotel and she said yes. Having worked with customer service for the Walt Disney Company, I know we should never lie to our customers and always try to make them comfortable as much as possible. Therefore, I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

I found the staff to be friendly and the hotel location is good, with a 5min walk to the center of Maastricht. One minor point was there was no soap holder in the shower...and personally the bed was to soft and matras to warnout.

I just wish they clean more, today our room was not cleaned and there was stain on the toilet paper, and the bulb in one lamp was not working. We opted to have breakfast, lunch and dinner outside so we cannot comment on food.
K	Keith Ruffles on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed our stay in the Bastion - great location near the centre of Maastricht, big room (it slept 4) and I really liked the breakfast! The staff were friendly too. It is perhaps a little tired around the edges and (a very minor quibble) the tv remote control in the room was missing a battery - but still enough to merit 5 stars. I would happily stay here again.
