About Bezoekerscentrum Dwingelderveld
Bijna alle gebieden die Natuurmonumenten beheert zijn vrij toegankelijk. Het is voor ons belangrijk dat iedereen toegang heeft tot de natuur. Daarom organiseren we naast de beheer- en behoudprojecten ook veel leuke activiteiten om jong en oud te stimuleren om buiten in de natuur van alles te beleven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A shop with all souvenirs you can immagine related to a nature reserve, and lots of books, probably all dutch.
For the kids there are loads of educational corners, attributes and toys.
Outside there is a beekeepers' shed, childrens playground toys and a nice walkway that goes half under water so you can see fish, frogs, tadpoles, snails and what not.
There probably is way more, we did kind of a hit and run.

We bought 2 bird houses wich have thick walls, fine quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place to start off on one of the many signposted walks through the national park. Lengths vary from 3 up to 15km
There is quite a large parking area but part of it will be very muddy after rain or in winter.
Also nearby is a sheepfold where around 4pm the sheep return from a day out on the heath.
The visitor center is a nice place to visit when it's open.
