Very cool. The brewery is on the grounds of a functioning Abbey with monks and all! Worth going for the restaurant/bar alone. Amazing beer, amazing food, and especially bread which is made from the leftovers of the brewing process. The reason I give it 4 stars is because of the tour. There was no tour in English, but they did give us booklet so we could follow along, but from what I understood of the Dutch, they followed it quite closely. Usually when I would go on a tour I would expect there to be extra tidbits of information or cool little extras, but everything you learn from the tour could be compressed into a small pamphlet

A really interesting tour giving the history of the monks and the brewing process, plus video about what makes a Trappist beer. Once you've finished the tour you get to choose a glass of your favourite beer to sample. I would highly recommend heading to the restaurant with your beer and purchasing a burger. It was the BEST burger I have ever eaten and everything on the plate had a link to the monks, incredible!! I'd drive back from the UK to have the beer and burger again, exquisite!

Really enjoyed my visit here. I cycled from Eindhoven so I had lost enough water through sweating and needed to replenish it. Luckily the beers here are so delicious and strong, so it made it easy to raise my blood alcohol content for me to have a great time. The tour was also lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the cheese but luckily it is sold in supermarkets. Unfortunately it rained on the cycle back but luckily I was drunk enough to not care.

Excellent comfort food and even better beer. Be sure to try the oak barrel aged quad they sell on site over a hot meal. Family and kid friendly for sure. Worth a trip out here and good hospitality. Take the tour if you can. Was the first stop on a beer adventure for us.

Wonderful place to visit, nestled in the verdant countryside. Bike paths cover the whole region, so I encourage you to rent a bike in Tilberg or a surrounding village and take a fantastic ride. Even if you don't tour the brewery, you'll enjoy the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.

If you are in The Netherlands, in Tilburg or Breda, you have to visit this craft brewery, there is a tour of the facilities and at the end there is a beer tasting, it is a very good experience and the beers are very tasty.

All the place is beautiful, the tour is really complete and explains everything, what is necessary to became a Trappist beer, how it is make, how the abbey works… There is now a limited edition with another brewery, the Brewdog, that is 10% ABV.
