Onze chefs werken uitsluitend met dagverse producten, ook uit Alkmaar en omstreken. De menukaart is Frans georiënteerd met enkele internationale uitstapjes en wordt, met de seizoenen mee, vier keer per jaar vernieuwd. Tevens is er elke week een verse, wisselende vis van de markt op de kaart te vinden. Uw gastheer -of vrouw heeft samen met drievoudig vinoloog van het jaar Udo Goebel (WineMatters) een heerlijke en gevarieerde wijnkaart samengesteld. Ons team vertelt u dan ook graag over onze wijnen. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've just had lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. I had the beef stew sandwhich which had the most wonderful flavour and presentation. It was very reasonably priced too, i'd love to have a crack at the dinner menu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a little gem of a place that can easily be walked past. Situated between Alkmaar train station and the Groot kerk (great church), the service is second to none. What can be described as a warm welcome is what you are greated with, a full English menu, high speed internet, and a warm feeling like you have been there before. And that is before you have ordered your meal. On my visit it was very clear that alot of the customers are returning regulars. A fine selection of beers and spirits are made to look small against the fantastic wine menu. This is one place I will be coming back to.
In the images that go with this review are what is described as Beef stew with picallily. A definite winter warmer on a cold dark evening. I am looking forward to returning to this little gem and trying some of the other items on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here a few times. Service and waiting was good and the food was above average. Today we ordered a starter which took 40 minutes, the maincourse another 45 minutes. When the maincourse was served the waiter suggested a white wine with that dish. Unfortunately both waiters where too busy with other things than serving us in a appropiate time. When i almost finished my main course, they tried serving the wine (which i send back) they made no excuse at all and while the food tasted good and smelled nice, the temperature was not warm enough. Such a shame. We are never going back.
Ps: We paid € 95 euro’s / $ 110 usd, for a starter and main with just 2 wines and water. It should be good to perfect fir that price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food, beautiful building and the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . The chefs know their trade. Not only are they highly disable, they are more than happy to explain what they made and how the made it. I didn't know about this place but it swiftly made it to my top 2 of places to go not only in the North Holland area but in The Netherlands in General! This place should get a Michelen star!

Guys there speak both Dutch and English.

The place is very close to the center and the waiters were friendly.
It is generally crowded. Maybe better to reserve before coming.
I highly recommend this place to have dinner.
