★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience with APK (/MOT). An appointment was possible the same day on a specific timeslot, where other garages require you to drop of the car before 9h and collect it at 17h. The checkup was quick and it was nice to see what was happening to my car from the glass waiting room :)
Only downside was I had to pay cash... A pin terminal would have been nice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not use! They cheated me by 600 EUR. I had clutch problem caused by broken connection lever from clutch to transmission. The communication with service was terrible and they again and again explained me (their english is awful btw) that the whole clutch has to be changed for 600 EUR. I had no other choice, so I agreed. When I got my car home to my serviceman we saw that clutch was not even touched nor changed, only the lever was welded together in such a way that I would have done it better myself (see picture).

I got access to good Wi-Fi and put in a good few minutes of work while he took a look at my car. My car was checked and approved within the hour, which I was very happy with. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR A MECHANIC. They use low quality parts and occasionally do a shoddy job. It is difficult to find a mechanic with as many available times as them in Amstelveen, but look in Uithoorn if necessary.
I went there for an APK. They said that many things needed to be changed. One of them was the exhaust, and the total cost was same or higher as other places. The car starts making very loud and annoying noise on acceleration / deceleration. Took it back, they confirmed it is the exhaust they just changed. They refuse to change it. "not dangerous, no problem, nothing can be done about it". This has been a problem for a year now.
Unfortunately, I also went there another time because my power steering broke and proximity was the highest priority. They charge basically the price of authentic parts, but use low quality aftermarket (or even refurbished?) by the looks of it. Of course they wont fix the exhaust.
Today did an APK with another mechanic. His diagnosis: "Take it back to the original mechanic. The brand is of low quality. The part does not fit well to the car. That is why it makes the noise. It is very annoying. You can make an appointment to see if I could fix it."
Maybe you get better service if you pay cash as they insist? I don't understand how they can have so many positive ratings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very helpful, professional and super friendly staff! Highly recommended. They really helped me in trouble the way I didn't expect. I came to the garage on Wed afternoon as I noticed for weeks that my AUDI Q5 2.0 engine was shaking on low revs. As I was planning long holidays trip (over 2500 km) on Friday - I thought I better check my car. I was surprised that they took my car for a check immediately - performed the engine diagnosis via computer and found what the problem was. I was given the initial estimate and they started to work. In the end the repair was bigger than initially expected and I had to leave my car overnight. I collected it next day - fixed and running smooth! I waited with the review until I come back from holidays - to confirm that all the work that was done really helped and I had zero problems on the way. Top work and I am sure that I will come back to this garage again for any problems with my car in the future.
