I've been going here for years to get rid of my frown lines and Toby Makmel has never disappointed me. I'm a happy customer.

I had fillers placed in the nasolabial folds by Toby Makmel. He informed me that he was going to place this filler more superficial than usual in order to make the effect last longer. A week after the procedure, I could see the filler through the skin in the area injected. It looked like something dark, uneven and slightly bumpy. Right away I asked for an appointment and explained the situation to Toby Makmel. He told me that the problem was actually my skin type and not the filler and that he has nothing to correct and I have to deal with it. His reaction was to get rid of my consult as soon as possible, showing no interest in the problem. He was very unprofessional. It took me a few months to get rid of this filler at another clinic. My practitioner says that fillers should not be placed so superficially as the filler can never be dissolved naturally, causing it to stay for many years and be seen through.

I was hesitant at first to visit easycosmetics. However I have been on 2 occasions and I am very happy with the service offered and with the results. Dr Makmel listens really well and does not impose any intervention, but gives you suggestions based on what he sees and what you would like.. People I told about the visit as well as people who didn't know have been commenting me on how much rested and younger I look. I would definitely recommend Dr Makmel

Very mediocre clinic. Especially for ‘Botox’… First red flag is that he still advertises with Botox (a brand name of the company Allergan) but is used is the much cheaper Bocouture… Second red flag is that he doesn’t advertise with units but you pay per muscle group. That’s really weird because the forehead has way more muscles than let’s say if you treat crows feet. Third red flag and which I didn’t find out that this was weird until I went to a plastic surgeon that was shocked to find out: Doctor Toby Makmel doesn’t show you the vial, he doesn’t add saline to the vial: he just injects you with a pre-filled syringe. (If you see a pre-filled vial and especially a pre-filled syringe: RUN!! It’s the biggest no-no you can get.) You have no idea what’s injected and if it’s Botox/ Bocouture you have no idea how much saline (salt water) is added. I didn’t even know Botox/ Bocouture was a powder until I went to my current board certified plastic surgeon. My current doctor shows you the vial (of the real Botox from Allergan) with the serial number. He breaks the seal and then he adds the saline. So you know exactly what’s injected into your face and how many units are put in. You also pay per unit not per ‘zone’. I suspect Toby Makmel really waters down the Bocouture because results only lasts max 3 months. And yes it’s cheaper but you have to come back way more often. With my current doctor the results last more than 6 months. And he uses a special lifting technique on the eyebrows. So no, I don’t recommend this clinic at all when it comes to Bocouture/ Botox. Find a clinic that is honest and open about what they inject and how many units they inject.
