★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These old school food bars are out of fashion now, but if you like them, this is definitely a good option. Nothing looks to have changed in twenty years, so enjoy it for a plain chicken sateh or steak with fries and beer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice food, nothing fancy, really decent nice gastro pub in a nice historic building. Loved their spareribs and home made typical Dutch shrimp 'kroketjes'. Very friendly staff. Good lunches too. And a couple of good special local and Belgian beers on the list!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic! It has a pleasant atmosphere with a friendly staff and dishes that will please both the meat and veggie lovers. It has a great selection of draft beers from Jopen and an extensive wine list. Reasonably priced, Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe/bar was excellent. We were in Amsterdam for 3 days and came here for dinner twice. The service was excellent, the outdoor seating areas were excellent, the food was delicious, and the choice of beers available was amazing. Large portions of food and reasonable prices make this restaurant a must visit while in Amsterdam Oost. Would definitely visit again.
Additionally, our male server on both occasions was extremely happy to help, good at his job, and most of all welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant based on his service alone.
