Een belangrijk deel van de gerechten bij Foer wordt gefoerageerd. De seizoenen bepalen het menu. We vinden het fantastisch om gebruik te maken van de overvloed die de natuur biedt terwijl sommige ingrediënten mooi zijn in hun schaarste. We serveren een menu dat constant in beweging is. Dit maakt het zowel voor de gast als voor de chefs spannend steeds nieuwe gerechten te ontdekken. Wij verzoeken u vriendelijk eventuele allergieën door te geven bij uw reservering. Service is on great level. Wine list is small, but complements the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food, with great wines to accompany each dish. Choice between menu's Flora (vegetarian) or Fauna (with meat or fish). All beautiful plates and excellent taste-combinations. Also home made non-alcoholic drinks that makes you forget that you're the designated driver.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit outside the busy Amsterdam life this 'new wave type' of restaurant found it's place here. Stunning building, well decored. A set menu (flora or fauna style) 5 or 7 courses. It's not for everybody. We had a good diner and the Nordic influences are noticable. Only the espresso ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the restored brown brick and imposing glazing on this heritage building had us excited to explore the modern decor that inevitably would be tucked behind the stately wooden doors leading into Foer, we were disappointed at the confusing and [over]complicated dishes served in their five course contemporary menu. Exploring flavor profiles and contrasting ingredients can lead to masterful creations (think Noma), however, the culinary acrobatics attempted by the kitchen in this case most certainly fell flat. The plates were mostly pretty, but the flavors lacked cohesion. The service was excellent which only helped to deepen the contrast with the food experience. Trying to be too creative with food for creativity sake, isn’t a usp that all young chefs should feel obliged to adhere to. Presenting beautiful, simple food in a perfectly executed way would have been more refreshing than this attempt at the avant-garde.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting cooking style, by some referred to as New Dutch. The use of uncommon ingredients, herbs, veg, mushroomss or leaves that are foraged like they do on Noma is one of the features in many of the creative and unique dishes. The menu has either fauna or flora, with interesting wine pairings. The restaurant was on our list of places to go to for some time and completely met our high expectations in all areas.
