★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be amazed! This is most certainly not what you would expect in this place. This hotel is beautifull. Everything is spot on, from the way they have decorated the rooms, the bar to the delicious breakfast they serve you in the morning. Also ask the (friendly) lady who runs the place to make you a cocktail, she'll go out and get fresh herbs from the garden for it!
one thing you have to be aware of though, they have a few amazing split level rooms, but if you have weak knees or a dislike for staircases, pick a different room. otherwise do take this room! also check out the cool design AC unit in this room (behind / in the painting)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An odd experience to walk straight into the hotels restaurant rather than a reception area, however a very warm and friendly greeting and guide of the hotel and room made it a very welcoming and warm experience. The rooms are larger than average, exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Breakfast is plentiful and healthy. A very nice experience overall

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This old hotel, is well taken care of. It has a lot of old features mixed with modern design. The staff is courtious and friendly. The service is of high standard and food tasty and affordable.
At last the rooms are small, but cozy and have all the amminities you need. We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful city of Middelburg!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and individual place to stay. We had a room on two floors, sleeping was on a mezzanine level, which also had air conditioning. The mezzanine level is reached via a very steep set of stairs, so this room is not for the faint hearted or drunk.
Bathroom and sitting area on the lower level with tea and coffee making facilities.
Staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast was delicious and served at the table on an étagère. Beautifully set up, and a very nice sweet and savoury selection.
Can definitely recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and well located hotel, right in the center of Middelburg and very close to restaurants and ameities. The room was very comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. Friendly staff, very good restaurant and breakfast. We had a great stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve enjoyed our stay last in April. We felt very comfortable even with all restaurants and shops were closed. Service of the hotel is far beyond good. It was excellent! The hostesses we’re very welcoming and friendly.
The room itself was amazing! We enjoyed it very much and even lost the other in the big big bed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cancelled reservation due to the strange responses from the owner to reviewers who leave a 1 star review and was also acting rude over the phone when I wanted to cancel. Not worth it to book here in my opinion when there are so many other nice hotels to enjoy ?
