★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great venue in the heart of Middelburg. We were seated on the first floor in the back, in between some other diners. De Herberg feels very homely, like a big house.
We had ribs and Pepesan for dinner (the latter being a spicy Indonesian prepared fish dish). According to my friend, the ribs were juicy and tender and slid right of the bone. The pepesan was good in taste; a bit of an awkward combination with the roti pancake, but somehow it worked. Our desserts were cheesecake and the house special, a chocolately-strawberry thingy. Overall atmosphere is great and I guess one of the more popular places in Middelburg.
We would come again! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is really good here, and for reasonable prices too! After one of us wanted to have our hotdog made differently, the waiters understood and we got a new one. The service is nice here and the waiters are kind. Definitely recommend!

Nice atmosphere next to the main market Square. Like most places in the Netherlands, they don't take Visa or MasterCard , only Maestro cards, but cash machines are close by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. Generous portions. Affordable prices. Burger was grilled in an egg grill. Was super juicy and delicious. Definitely recommending. Indonesian style mackerel was smoked and baked in a cast iron skillet. Perfectly fishy, spicy and comforting. Interesting experience!
