About Braai Westerpark
A long time ago in Southern Africa, early people accidently dropped raw meat into a fire and found out this meat was easier to chew. Experts say this is the early beginning of the Braai we know today.
Many years later the Braai has conquered a central place in the village where the food was prepared on an open fire by one person. Instead of cooking in their own house or hut, people gathered around the fire, chatting, telling stories.
Nowadays, a Braai is known as a social meeting where food is prepared on open fire. Friends and invites are more than welcome and most people bring something to eat. But the main principles from ancient times are still the same; gathering around the fire, chatting and telling stories. Once you’ve experienced a real Braai, you will never forget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best BBQ in the Netherlands. Period. I recommend getting the platter meals. Great prices. My favorites were the pork belly & poussin chicken. Their pork belly was succulent, tender and flavorful. And their poussin chicken was juicy yet had a nice char/smokiness to it. Heavenly. Highly recommend spot if you're looking for BBQ or are in the Westerpark area. Great service too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lets talk this place! First the staff were great! Friendly, and extremely cool the entire experience. We were able to talk with 3 of the staff members and even told the chef how we believed this to be the best burger I'd had and I stand by that.
We had the burger, fries, and a rack of ribs. these were all excellent choices that filled us full and kept our taste buds happy. We then had dessert and that topped everything off.
One hell of a great place to eat!
