★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lekker valentijn diner gegeten. Gezellig restaurant met een prima kaart. Bediening attent en eten prima op smaak. #reactie op eigenaar. Zeker, het gewicht van het vlees op de kaart moet bekend zijn bij de bediening, zeker voor 30 euro per gerecht. Roepen dat het 300 gram voor zowel tournedos als Ribeye is, terwijl dat zeker niet de geleverde gewichten zijn. Dat is het verschil tussen 4 en 5 sterren. Smaak en gaarheid waren geweldig, perfectie zit in de details.
 Delicious Valentine's dinner. Cozy restaurant with an excellent menu. The service is attentive and the food tastes great. #reaction to owner. Certainly, the weight of the meat on the menu must be known to the waiter, especially for 30 euros per dish. Shout out that it is 300 grams for both tournedos and Ribeye, while those are certainly not the weights supplied. That's the difference between 4 and 5 stars. Flavor and doneness were great, perfection is in the details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drie keer geweest, gister was niet de beste ervaring. Keuken niets op aan te merken, daarom toch 4 sterren. Tonijn tataki was erg zacht, gamba's goed van smaak. Ook disgenoot van steak tartare, eend en burger. Wat er mis ging: tafel werd niet uitgevraagd na voorgerecht en hierdoor moesten we erg lang wachten. Dit viel geen van de 3 brigade leden op. Dan heb je geen overzicht. Keurig fles wijn van het huis gekregen trouwens. Ook de toiletten werden niet geregeld gecheckt en waren smerig.
Been three times, yesterday was not the best experience. Kitchen nothing to criticize, therefore 4 stars. Tuna tataki was very soft, king prawns had a good taste. Also dinner with steak tartare, duck and burger. What went wrong: table was not asked after starter and because of this we had to wait very long. None of the 3 brigade members noticed this. Then you have no overview. Nice bottle of house wine by the way. The toilets were also not regularly checked and were filthy.

Kitchen 5 stars, service 3 stars. Potential to become the "Cafe Colette" of Heemstede if service issues are fixed. Not an issue with service staff as such, issue seems to be a lack of clear guidance / operational processes for service staff. Resulting in: sit and wait for 10+ minutes for order to be taken when not busy, cheese platter arrives with no knife. Easily fixed and I hope this happens because Brasserie de Canette has potential to be a huge asset for Heemstede.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perhaps they’re getting back into shape after a few weeks closed, but I would describe the service as ‘nonchalant’ and the food ‘well, it was alright’. It was a struggle to get menus, get service throughout the evening and then the food and drinks were, at times, almost tossed onto the table with a very casual ‘Alsjeblieft’. The waiting staff do not stand out as such so it’s difficult to know who are staff or who are customers. My tuna starter was good but the ribeye steak was overcooked (for medium rare) and oily. We’re quite the foodies but, other than snails, none of our conversations were about the food which I think says something. Underwhelming. I realise this critique is unusually low for the restaurant but I’m advising my experience as it was, and, maybe I’ve been unlucky.
