★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to rent a specific camera with a lens for a private usage. The registration and reservation went fine, but then I received a very short email telling me that the camera was not available for private rent. I looked for an alternative camera, but it was not available for the requested time and the second alternative was also only available for business rental. During the email contact I did not get the impression of being a valued customer as there were no pro-active attempts to help me. Instead a booking was made for a third alternative camera without my consent. Even worse, I already mentioned that I was not interested in that camera in the previous email contact. The cancellation worked fine though.
Since my company had previously rented cameras without problems, I assume that this issue came from the request to rent as a private person. Furthermore, the telephone contact with the Utrecht store was very pleasant and supportive, so I need to assume that my experience comes from back office decision. Very unfortunate that budgetcam was not able to offer satisfying solution and I need to go to another rental agent in Utrecht to help me with my upcoming shoot.
