G	Gilbert La Fors on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hebben voor ons drieën ieder een menu van dertig euro besteld. Je kon dan gewoon kiezen uit de kaart. We hadden gekozen voor carpaccio en zalm. Beide waren erg lekker en waren mooi opgemaakt. Het hoofdgerecht bestond uit spareribs, burger en dorade met lekkere Hollandse friet met een lekkere mayonaise. Alle gerechten waren ruime porties en wederom erg lekker van smaak. Niet duidelijk was waar de meegeleverde doosjes precies voor waren. Door uitproberen heb ik de meegeleverde saus op de dorade gedaan. Lijkt me goed om hier een sticker op te plakken met dorade. Dan is dat meteen duidelijk. De toetjes waren voor ons allemaal hetzelfde cheesecake. Ook daarvoor gold dat ze echt heerlijk waren Al met al heerlijk en een zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Aandachtspunt is een tip voor het warmhouder van het hoofdgerecht. We hadden nu het idee dat we het voorgerecht snel moesten opeten omdat het daarvoor twaalf minuten al in de auto aan het afkoelen was. Het was door het restaurant goed ingepakt en het hoofdgerecht was uiteindelijk warm genoeg. Maar dan zit je wel met meer rust te eten. Afsluitend wil ik nog een compliment geven over het feit dat we ons geld terug kregen omdat we per ongeluk alle gerechten los hadden besteld en daardoor 15 euro meer hadden betaald dan noodzakelijk was. We each ordered a menu of thirty euros for the three of us. You could then just choose from the card. We had opted for carpaccio and salmon. Both were very tasty and beautifully presented. The main course consisted of spare ribs, burger and dorade with tasty Dutch fries with a tasty mayonnaise. All dishes were generous portions and again very tasty. It was not clear what exactly the supplied boxes were for. By trying it out, I put the supplied sauce on the dorade. I think it would be good to put a sticker on this with dorade. Then that is immediately clear. The desserts were the same cheesecake for all of us. Also before that they were really delicious All in all delicious and very good value for money. A point of attention is a tip for keeping the main course warm. We now had the idea that we had to eat the starter quickly because it had already been cooling for twelve minutes in the car. It was well packed by the restaurant and the main course was finally warm enough. But then you can eat with more rest. In conclusion, I would like to give a compliment about the fact that we got our money back because we accidentally ordered all dishes separately and therefore paid 15 euros more than was necessary.

During the confinement, we have been ordering lunch there regularly, the Burcht Burger is delicious. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is also great, we did not get to enjoy it much yet because of the Covid crisis, but when it opens again, it will be a hotspot of Vleuterweide!

We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, when there were only 3 other tables of diners. Abhorrently sow service. We sat for 15 minutes before a server approached us. If I were not a Food and Restaurant Critic, I most certainly would have gotten up and left. The food selection seems decent, but I did not dare order food, for fear I would starve before it arrived.

The quality of food fluctuated with each different owner. This is the first time we ate here since it changed to "Cafe de Burcht". We were curious so decided to give it a try on a Sunday afternoon. We noticed it was primarily filled with customers with children and soon we realized why. Besides the cute little kitchen in the corner, one of the tables nearby was set up as an entertainment corner (with papers, drawing tools, glue and stickers etc) for children, and one of the staff members was there to help out. We found out via the website that this was a typical Sunday afternoon activity. The interior was very spacey and fit for families with buggies and strollers. The staff was very friendly. We ordered oeuff cocotte, Burcht burger and the apple pie. We liked it very much. The taste was good and the staff was very open for the suggestions we gave regarding the food. All in all, we'll be back next time to try out the dinner menu.
