Of het nu alleen is om een drankje te doen, of voor een uitgebreide maaltijd: het is hier genieten. De gerechten zijn echt super. De biefstuk is super mals en perfect klaar gemaakt. Daar kan ons Loetje nog een puntje aan zuigen. Regelmatig zijn er ook specialiteiten buiten de kaart om, zoals nu de ijsselmeerpaling. Café Max wordt bezocht door de lokale bevolking, maar ook door menig watersporter. Leuke gesprekken en mooie verhalen hoor je dan. Café Max is gewoon een unieke beleving. Wees er wel snel bij: Max en zijn lieve vrouw stoppen dit jaar, dan hopen ze zelf van het varen te gaan genieten en eens op bezoek te gaan bij Café Max. Heb je deze review gelezen? The dishes are really great. The steak is super tender and cooked to perfection. Our Loetje can still suck on that. There are also regular specialties outside the menu, such as the Ijsselmeer eel. Café Max is frequented by the local population, but also by many water sports enthusiasts. You will hear nice conversations and nice stories. Café Max is simply a unique experience. Y	Yvonne P. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super Essen, kleine aber gute Speisekarte. Bedienung super nett und zuvorkommend. Eine schöne Kneipe wo man abends sehr gut den Abend ausklingen lassen kann. Es gibt auch Billiard und verschiedene Spiele und Bücher zur Beschäftigung. Einen kleinen Raucherraum extra. Sie haben 3 verschiedene gezapfte Biere und außerdem eine riesige Auswahl an Brand Bieren, Affligen, belgisch, mexikanisch zum Testen. Natürlich auch eine Wein und Schnaps Auswahl. Außerdem spielt einmal im Monat eine Band. Und es is die einzige richtige Location um die Jahreszeit die hier in Stavoren noch auf hat. Aber schaut auf ihre Website. Auch sie haben ab Mitte Januar bis März Pause. Kommen sehr gerne wieder. Great food, small but good menu. Service super nice and courteous. A nice pub where you can end the evening very well. There is also billiards and various games and books for employment. A small smoking room extra. They have 3 different draft beers and also a huge selection of brand beers, Affligen, Belgian, Mexican to test. Of course there is also a selection of wine and schnapps. There is also a band playing once a month. And it is the only real location for the time of year that is still open here in Stavoren. But check out their website. They too have a break from mid-January to March. We would love to come back again.

Stunned by the kindness of the people at the bar... The owner MAX is quite aged but full of enthu.. Makes sure that whoever enters the hotel is comfortable .. Seldom plays songs on a digital gramophone... A must visit place if you're in Stavoren!
