β β β β β Absolutely horrible. This has been my GP for over a year and never really felt safe after the visits.
But the worst happened today: called for an appointment on the phone number that you see in this google page. They give me an appointment at 16:20. I leave work early to be there on time. I arrive and they don't find me in the list. Apparently they have another location in centraal station. They did put me there without letting me know when I called earlier. I ask them if I can be visited here instead but they claim they are full for the rest of the day. So they suggest me to go to centraal, to what I answer that I will be arriving late to the appointment, but they tell me they'll get in touch with the guys in centraal so that it's not a problem for me. I arrive at centraal at 16:45 and they tell me that I arrived too late and I can't be attended unless they make a new appointment not earlier than 20:00. Absolutely unacceptable.
Basically I left work early to cycle around the city for nothing.
First thing I do tomorrow is switch to another GP.

β β β β β Cambridge Medical center is probably the best option for most expatriates and tourists in Amsterdam. It has a wide range of various medical specialists that are updated on modern science and treatment. No language issues here. At CM, one is in good hands, and also the staff is helpful and lays the necessary efforts in helping their patients to get proper treatment. It is also within walking distance to most places interesting for tourists in the city center. A good choice.

β β β β β As a foreign in Netherlands I have been going to this medical center for the last 5 years. I am so happy I found them. The doctors are kind and show true real concern about your issues. Also I feel they are aware that your body, diet and psychology is different from a local Dutch so they treat you accordingly.

07/02/22: 1st visit, doctor listened but when i said my pain was a level 10 (and i had to switch my appointment from noon to am cause spent all weekend in terrible pain), dismissed my pain level saying it doesnt look like it but did some tests and gave a referral (forgot glasses in blood sample room, never been found)
08/02/22: change requested on referral at 8 am to get the ultrasound today but its 4pm and still nothing received and i lost my chance to get an echo today as wellregardless how many times i begged for it... And im in a lot of pain...update: received a mail w a lot of blah, blah, still no update on referral by 7:45pm
09/02/22: Day started hopeful, talked to Dr Cambridge, got an appt but this new doc on my visit did some extra urine and blood tests unrelated to my pain. Still no echo, gotta wait for tomorrow pm due to this woman. Been in terrible pain for abt a week now, had a terrible night - couldnt sleep due to pain , having difficulty breathing (oxy saturation:91, pulse 90)-measured at clinic, 88/93 at home), (110/81 83-home) the woman who didnt give me the updated referral was the same woman from today- she didnt even care to listen to my lung or heart or nothing.
10/02/22: Met Dr Cambridge, very good listener, very helpful ?
