Best een aardige ervaring als gast bij een bewonende. De locatie aan het water is rustgevend, waardoor er in de ochtend vrolijk vogeltjes fluiten. Het bed is fijn, de studiotjes echter een tikkeltje te klein. Nog een probleem: de bewoner laat me niet met rust.

At the end of your contract, Scamelot will try as hard as they can to take away your €1000 deposit like €600 if your wall has a tiny mark or €120 if the kitchen is not "clean enough"...

The complex manager Paul is very rude. Besides that, everything is acceptable. The apartment is very clean and comfortable to live in.

Very bad place to live, mouses are everywhere in the studio. Additional charges even you have moved out. The customer service usually reply emails after 6 months.

Read It Before You Move In There’re very few adequate options for non-EU students or immigrants to rent anything in the Netherlands, as rental agencies refuse to work with both categories and private owners will most probably also hesitate on renting something out for you, especially if you are young. Camelot (the rental company that is administrating the Campus) is taking an advantage of such situation by offering rooms for an extremely high price. To be fair, rooms are clean and well furnished, however the price is high (around 600€ monthly and you better don’t count on discount, as they try to ignore you as much as possible on such questions). Washing and drying machines are to be paid for separately (around 6€ for a single wash+dry). If you are okay with the pricing still think twice before signing. Walls are thin, so don’t count on privacy and silence. Moreover, the building itself is built quite poorly. For example, if the washing machine is on you can feel the vibrations going through the whole building and if an entrance door’s lock is out and it will slam in the frame, tenants from upper floors will feel and hear it. Some tenants even complained about being woke up from their beds in the night. Trash bin is almost always full, which causes rats going in the building (I did not encounter it personally, however some tenants did). Additionally, you can say goodbye to the deposit of 1000€ you will give in the beginning, as the company is charging sky-high withdrawals in the end of your rental period (500€ for “walls whitening” or 120€ if your kitchen is not shiny clean for ex.) Another issue is that Camelot is only fast in one-direction communication. Reply for any request takes minimum of 2 days, but usually weeks, not depending on time when the request was made. The company does not follow the procedures mentioned in their own contract and therefore you should be ready to encounter all sorts of administrative issues and additional costs if any misunderstanding or mistake will be made from your side. Last but not least, activities in the building involving housekeeping are conducted quite often and be sure that your privacy will be disturbed very often. The only really positive thing that can be mentioned about the Campus is the collective of tenants, which is extremely friendly. Concluding, I recommend you to think twice before moving in here and consider finding a poorer furnished, but way cheaper (in total) option.
