About Caña IJburg

Eigenaar en kok Taner Can - door Johannes van Dam al eens bekroond met een 9+ - neemt je met zijn kookkunsten mee op een culinaire reis door de mediterrannee. De gastronomie van zijn geboortegrond in Hatay (Turkije) laat hij daarbij de boventoon voeren. Op onze kaart vind je dat terug in heerlijke gerechten die op de houtskoolgrill zijn bereid (zowel vlees|vis|vegetarisch)

Als in de lekkerste tapas & mezzes. Alles vers bereid met eerlijke producten.

Als variatie zette Taner enkele jaren geleden de flammenkuche op de kaart, hetgeen niet onopgemerkt bleef: `Beste flammenkuche van Amsterdam` volgens het Parool in mei 2017.

Caña serveert verschillende flammenkuchen (vlees, vis, vegetarisch). Allemaal even krokant & smaakvol!

Onze gerechten kunnen worden gecombineerd met de wijnen van onze wijnkaart die door Taner, zijn sommelier en een team van “proevers’ met zorg zijn geselecteerd. Betere wijnen die met kop en schouders boven vele andere uitsteken en die we voor een meer dan schappelijke prijs op de kaart hebben staan.

Besides this we saw the waiter coming from kitchen while eating and licking his fingers just before taking a dish to bring to a table without washing his hands... unacceptable, not only in corona times... i am not coming back.

The waiting time for the food was quite long, but the food was very good, plentiful and cheap. For small children who could fall into the water, the operator offers a solution on request. Perfect!

I only regret we didn't walk out right away I realized how rude she was, and instead staid for lunch. Worst decision ever. waitress was kind and very respectful and pleasant persone. Still she would stay for way too long at the bar to wait for drinks to come out when she could in mean time take some orders. My coffe came just in the glass cup without plate, sugar, spoon, cookie. My husband's coffee came with all this " exclusive " . We where 4, 2 of us got cutlery and handkerchief, one got only cutlery, one nothing. Was very chaotic. Took long to get to the just order. Food tasted average. Didn't looked fresh. Surely this is a place we will never come back.
