★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We asked for advice about a cattery with Siberian hypoallergenic cats. Although the lady didn't know a direct contact she referred us to someone else with knowledge on the topic.
This cat shop is very cozy, with a lot of fun toys but also more practical stuff such as shampoo, spray to calm down cats and food. The staff gives an impression of really having a passion for cats which makes a difference.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came all the way from Brussels and was ecstatic when I heard about this shop. HOWEVER, was quickly dissapointed the moment I walked in. I didn't feel welcome in the store AT ALL. One of the staff members was incredibly rude and didn't even make any effort to even greet me. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to be treated like cat doodoo. EVERYONE SHOULD FEEL WELCOME NOT JUST YOUR "REGULAR" CUSTOMERS. Take care of humans not just cats. Lastly, and I oop! ♥

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cats & Things is a quirky niche shop selling all manner of cats supplies and cat related items. There is a sizeable assortment of wet and dry cat foods, including nutrition to address diet and health problems. There are cat boxes in various sizes, scratch poles, feeding bowls and water fountains, grooming accessories, carriers, door flaps, bedding and covers, hygiene products and toys, many of which are mechanised. The store is more than a pet shop in that it stocks various items for lovers of cat themed objects such as notebooks, serving trays, mural decorations, place mats and coasters, magnets, bookends, postcards, wrapping paper and coffee mugs. Sadly the one thing that is seriously lacking is customer service. More often than not, one finds staff indulged in reading material rather than attending to the needs of clients. When asked about the difference between two grooming products, one of which was twice the price of the other, staff were unable or unwilling to provide a satisfactory response. Rudeness and unhelpful service appear to be a recurring feature in many reviews. Other reviews are full of praise, but, in spite of repeated visits, as yet, I have never found anything to warrant this. Smiles go miles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful emporium of everything for your cat. It makes a refreshing change to visit an independent family run shop with such welcoming and knowledgeable owners.
My daughter and I visited here when in Amsterdam looking for her accommodation and this was such an incredible "find".
Our cat loves his toys and inside we found the best variety anywhere we have been, all at sensible reasonable prices (remember you get what you pay for so it is worth a little extra) and the lady owner helped us pick out a couple of toys well suited to our cat's character.
When I got home (my daughter is still in A'dam) we were amazed at how our cat was immediately engaged by his new toys.
As well as all sorts of things to bring home, the other half of the shop was stocked with a superb range of cat foods, cat litters, houses, litter trays and - simply, everything you need for your cat.
Well worth a visit if you have a cat or are cat people, as the shop is in the picturesque Jordaan district. But this is not a tourist attraction - it is a proper professional pet shop.

The biggest difference between buying here and buying online is that this store’s owner has been in the business for 17 years I think she said, so she has brilliant advice and suggestions on anything you need. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my go to store for a wide selection of cat food, cat litter, and so many cute cat accessories and hole good! They stock scented cat litter and my cats seem to like it best. They have lots of cute cat beds, scratching posts, and cat toys. And bonus - there is a cat that hangs out there (he alternates better there and Chocolate across the street).
