Had a lovely dinner here on a warm summer night. Good portions and delicious flavours - we had Empanadillas as starters (meat one and spinach one) , followed by scrumptiously seasoned filet with pesto. Setting is nice as it overlooks a quiet street in charming Oud-Zuid neighbourhood.

Nice environment to enjoy wine and tapas, the server was friendly and service was very quick despite them being quite busy. Really enjoyed the food overall and wan't to try more, a couple dishes didn't love but were ok and most were super delicious

The place itself looks good and 'gezellig', there's a nice ambiance. However, as a Spanish person I am, I can quite easily perceive when a dish is cooked in the Spanish way. This was not the case with Cavataria's food: First, pan con tomate served with alioli. I would expect grated tomato in the Spanish way but instead it's tomato chunks with some seasoning. The alioli is good though, but it's a very small portion for 4-5 euros. Then, champiΓ±ones al ajillo. Again, super small portion for 6.5€ and, even if they taste good, it's not in the Spanish way (you usually see abundant oil with pieces of garlic). After that, tortilla de patata. This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't cooked in the Spanish way at all and it didn't taste like anything: no salt and weird texture. Finally, patatas bravas, again salsa brava didn't taste like it at all and usually these patatas are cut much thicker (a fast google search can show you). Also, the personnel knows 0 Spanish and the waitress confirmed the owners are not Spanish, the cooks are not either. I'm happy to see appreciation for Spanish food around the world, but please put more effort or hire someone Spanish to show you the good way! Finally, the music is not Spanish, but Latin American, which is great but again I would expect some flamenco or traditional Spanish songs.

Lovely place with Spanish tapas, wine and drinks. Absolutely love this place as their menu is a great homage to Spain. The interiors are lovely, exteriors are cozy (and with heating!). The best thing though? The high level of attentive and sweet service by the waiters. Continue doing what you’re doing, because your staff is amazing! Make sure they get noticed :) Best service I’ve experienced in Amsterdam.

Good place for drinks. Nice decor. Ask for the sangria with cava and the calamares (a little bit expensive)

Overal nice experience, cozy place! Good service. Will go back for a nice cocktail and some tapas. The calamares was tasty, soft and tender. Boquorones were very nice also. The diamanthaas on point ?! The first few cocktails we got in the beginning were well made, then I don't know what happened with the quantities, it was no more balanced. I wish there were more cocktails and fish tapas available :) ?

A lovely tapas place close to Vondelpark- the cava sangria is delicious and all the tapas were tasty. Friendly staff and cute interior.
