★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won’t recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Indonesian food. I tried some of dishes that were supposedly Indonesian food but tasted completely off to me. Chinese food maybe ok but not Indonesian. The rather higher prices were so uncomparrable to the tastes of food. Gado-gado sauce didn’t taste like peanut sauce at all, I didn’t know what was in it but definitely not peanut sauce but rather a sauce with thickening agent and some coloring to mimic a peanut sauce. I suggest to restaurant’s owners to do a thorough research if you’re serious about presenting Indonesian food. Indonesian dishes in general use a lot of spices. So if you either are not willing to spend the time or money to bring the flavors up to par in the restaurant, it’s best that you stick to what you know how to make, in this case Chinese food! Please don’t ever assume that Indonesian food the same as your Chinese food. I know Chinese food too because I’m partly Chinese. But I’m very proud of my Indonesian cultures that I take Indonesian authentic food flavors seriously. Indonesian people are very proud of the authentic flavors and spices that are used for dishes. The food was prepared within minutes! I was impressed with the time but so dissapointed with the food textures and tastes! The Indonesian Chinese rijsttafel, I was speechless. The green beans looked and tasted like they came from a can. To me it is such a shame that they tried to represent Indonesian culture through Indonesian dishes that they thought they knew how to make, but it was so messed up that it wasn’t not worth paying for over $67 at Saffier at all! I felt like going to a fast food restaurant and paid $5 for cheap food but got charged that high. I paid less than that at a fancy restaurant in Spain and the presentations and flavors were much more worth it than what I paid for. I’ve worked in food business too and know Indonesian food very well. I know international food and take it seriously on how to make and bring the authentic flavors to respect the original country where the food comes from. Overall I think that the Indonesian food I tried there seemed to be pretentious. Please respect my cultures by bringing more authentic flavors. I would seriously care much less if you just made those Indonesian dishes for your own family and friends but please don’t give a bad image for Indonesian food and present that at your restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I ate here a few months back while visiting NL. We dream of their Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pineapple and are making another trip to NL in May mainly to visit this establishment again. Friendly staff, cozy quiet place, great food! Zwanenburg is so darling!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious well made food! Some dishes will even be spectacularly cooked and served right at your table. To finish it off I tried out the caramel coffee, I definitely recommend it for those with a sweet tooth. The waiters are very nice, although I do recommend trying to avoid Sundays if possible. If it's busy you might have to take into account that you won't be served as fast as you'd like.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great restaurant! One of the best Chinese specialty restaurants in the Netherlands.
Portions are huge and are fairly priced. The owners are friendly and welcoming and this is a family-run business too: wonderful ambience. I especially love their babi pangang and loempia - highly recommend.
Top-notch food and top-notch service! Will always visit when returning to the Netherlands.
