★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stumbled upon this by chance and so glad I did, we enjoyed a delicious meal on a miserable snowy evening when nobody else would venture outside. Food was good, service was prompt and prices are what you expect for Amsterdam in total €40 for 2 ppl is average price but worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the past few years, I've always enjoyed dining at this restaurant during my annual visits to the Netherlands.
For me, the highlight(s) of the menu are the lumpia, babi panggang and chop suey. The menu is broad and the staff that run the restaurant treat you like family.
However, sadly, the quality of the food has slightly 'downgraded' from my past experiences. The food no longer has that 'zing' to it and is seems that the food no longer has that home cook feel to it. Quite disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for authentic Chinese cooking in a classy restaurant with reasonable prices then you must go to Gardenia. The food and service were excellent and the owners of this restaurant have gone all out in creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. This is the perfect place to take your spouse, partner, and/or friends for an exceptional meal or meet them here for a drink. We had soup, lamb, and a vegetable dish and all were delicious! We were in this town just for two days but if we lived in the area we would definitely be regulars. If you are in Amsterdam this restaurant is just a ten minute train ride and a pleasant 15 minute walk from the train station.
