★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The property sent us an email two weeks before arrival stating they would be moving our reservation to the other side of town. When I asked why, they said they had sold out the whole hotel to a large group and therefore couldn’t accommodate anyone else at the property where we reserved. If that was the case, they certainly knew about the problem more than two weeks before. When we told them the neighbourhood was important and asked for alternative solutions, they said there was nothing else they could offer. They didn’t have any recommendations or connections to other hotels in the area, and by the time they informed us we had to pay nearly twice as much to find comparable accommodation. Extremely poor customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely hotel, I’d definitely recommend it!! Great location and everything well thought and organised. It sets an example on how other places should be organised. Hope to visit again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good experience and nice location. Our room was spacious and bright, with real blackout curtains. The staff was kind and helpful. It was quite noisy outside the building on Saturday night so we didn’t slept that well. We took our breakfast outside since the price was quite expensive. Still, recommendable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I paid over £260 per night (£830 for three nights) for two of us in a Conscious Loft, which did not even include breakfast. I was extremely disappointed when I entered our room, which was tiny. It was on three levels with a small shower room upon opening the door, then up a few stairs to a very impractical and uncomfortable sitting area, the only space to hang clothes was right over the kettle. There were two hard chairs and a TV on the wall. Then up another flight of stairs to the bed. I won't call it a room as you could hardly even walk around the bed. The bed was actually very large and very lovely. The television could not be seen from the bed, and sitting downstairs on the hard chairs was unpleasant. There were binoculars, which I thought was a nice touch, but our windows were too dirty to see out of. I was staying for my daughter's wedding so I thought I'd booked a luxurious room, however, other family guests had only paid £60 per night for a far more pleasant space with a TV that could be seen, windows that could be seen out of, and even included breakfast. The Conscious Loft is far from sound proof, there was noise all night from the fun fair, from bars and from something within the walls, a noisy boiler perhaps.
The check in was stressful, as we arrived early we had left our bags and returned to check in after 3pm, which had to be done on a computer by ourselves, even though several staff were around. The hotel looked beautiful, I would have liked to have enjoyed the bar and cafe areas, but the overwhelming cost caused me to seek refreshments elsewhere. We spent 10 nights in the Netherlands and every other hotel was far better value for money. The Botel (£38 per night) was basic but delightful; The Belfort (not such a nice bed but very convenient location and only £52 per night); and the best of all was one in Rotterdam.
If I had paid £60 instead of £266, I would give the Conscious Westerpark a higher rating. I did mention my disappointment to the staff, and they refunded me one days cycle hire, but overall, the staff were not that helpful, we only had 2 tea bags for our 3 nights stay. The bed, however, was very nice, but would have been even nicer if we could have seen the television or a view from the window. I won't be staying again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for a few drinks. It was ok. The interior was very stylish, but felt this is more for official or business meetings that are "loose" rather than a place to hang with friends. Felt like I had to be a little quiet here. Staff was friendly and the cocktails were quite tasty. Price was above average I think.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was perfect, and even better than what we expected !
There’s always someone if you need anything, and everyone was nice, smiling and warm, it felt like home :)
The welcome, bar/restaurant and room service were beyond our thoughts, and we loved every minute of our stay
It was almost hard to leave it to visit the city
The location is perfect, we found everything we wanted and more
We’ll definitely be back there !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic hotel. Great design. Friendly service. Very recommended. Tiny details: ugly photo print in the lift, but that's only noticeable because the rest is so perfect. Thanks again to the stuff for all friendliness and assistance they gave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent 3 nights, of which 2 were totally sleepless. Big parties going on with loud electro music until 5 AM.
We reported it after the first night to the hotel staff, and then again after the second one. But they never ever reacted, neither said nor did anything. They simply did not care!
I understand that the hotel is not responsible for what's going on outside of its premises, but the very least one could hope from "professionals" of the hospitality business is to try to find a solution or - at least - to communicate.
It is worth mentioning that we were traveling as a family with two young kids - who also couldn't sleep. So our weekend was basically totally ruined as the kids were exhausted all day!
I complained heavily while checking-out. They offered us one breakfast (out of 3). Surely a nice gesture, but far from enough to compensate the awful customer experience.
Shame, as the room was actually really nice.
Never again!!
