Excellent boutique hotel! Super nice environment and extremely friendly - we were asking for two rooms next to one another for the kids, which was no problem. Located not in the center, but well connected through public transportation. Thanks for the great stay!

This used to be an old runned down and by squatters occupied mansion. And is now and a stylish, elegant boutique guest house. Situated at the border of the former Wester gas factory. With a restaurant that has a delightful small selection of dishes that are tasty and delicious. Very friendly staff... Worth visiting!! ( yes... Its built right next to a cemetery)

I want to absolutely recommend this place to everybody, travelling to Amsterdam! My wife, our little girl and I had some perfect days here. The room is modern and well equiped. The bed is very comfortable, the shower large, and the whole room is silent when the windows are closed. This hotel is close (5min by walking) to a nice park with great restaurants and bars. I also want to give 5 stars to the staff: they have been very kind and nice. Furthermore, 5 stars are for the perfect food they are serving. you can have a great dinner evening in a beautiful and stylish surrounding! All in all: we definitely come back again for our next Amsterdam visit!

Last Saturday, I went to the Westervilla Restaurant with my girlfriend for dinner. We are usually not the type of people that write reviews, but I feel like I have to share my experience about this place since we had an awful experience there and we don't want other people to experience the same. We had 2 negative events during the course of the evening. The first was a waitress spilling sangria on my jacket and on our table without any apologies (or attempts to clean it up) and the second one was my girlfriend almost swallowing a hard and sharp piece of plastic (about 3cm long, 1 cm wide) found in her Hamburger. If she would have eaten this piece, things could have ended badly. I didn't complain about the sangria, because it's human to spill something, but I would have expected an apology as a bare minimum. After finding the piece of plastic, I felt like we had to mention both the events to one of the staff that we thought of to be the manager. His reaction about the plastic was that he was going to find out what happened in the kitchen and return with a new hamburger (that was all, again no apologies or whatsoever...). When he came back with a new hamburger, I told him about the sangria and he said that the jars they have are quite difficult to pour from and that 'I don't care about that' (in Dutch he said literally: 'Daar heb ik geen boodschap aan'. We didn't feel understood and welcome at all and given the rude attitude (leaning towards aggressive) of the staff member, we decided to leave the restaurant without paying. We acknowledge that not paying for anything is also not a good look on us, but since we never experienced something this horrible in a restaurant before and been treated like this + the fact that they ruined my new jacket (FYI they just told me that I should go and bring it to a dry-cleaner myself), we felt like this was definitely not worth our money. In the end, after a 10 minutes discussion, the staff member did offer the sangria + new hamburger (which we didn't touch) for free, but our suppose to be romantic night was completely ruined.

We had a lovely experience at Westervilla. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a beautiful meal. The highlights were the starter dishes, chargrilled Octopus for my wife and Burrata on a bed of strawberries and pistachios. Amazing. The pasta dishes for our main courses were excellent. But the chocolate lava pudding for dessert wins the prize for best dish, in our opinion. Awesome. Loved the surroundings, we sat outside on the terrace. The staff team and especially Charmaine and her husband the owners were brilliant. And we really appreciated their wine knowledge and recommendation. Who would have thought a white rioja could be that good?! Thanks very much for making this a memorable evening for us. We'll be back. We're so glad you made it through a difficult corona period. Happy to give Westervilla our highest recommendation.

Comfortable place, excellent decor and attentive service. Food seems to be prepared with prime ingredients but overall comes out a bit bland. (restaurant only, haven't been to the hotel)

My favourite restaurant in Amsterdam. The food is delicious and fairly priced, the staff is very friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The garden is so relaxing and enjoyable. Just a perfect experience every time

We had a great night in Westervilla thanks to the amazing service, great wine recommendation and delicious food. The restaurant is far from the tourist crowds of Amsterdam and has a great ambiance. Definitely recommended.
