★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was very low quality and very expensive compare to quality, after serving food though they say we accept payment through card but said to me that I have to take cash from ATM I ran to two ATMs as one was off line, my bill was 26 euros and they charged me 29 euros because he was doing some + - on some paper, you don’t get receipt of your bill as the excuse is machine isn’t working. Avoid going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Complete rip off!!
Came to order food, the staff member was being helpful at the start however when it came to paying, he didn't provide me with a receipt and simply made up the price. As he knew I was visiting from abroad, he assumed that by me paying using a foreign card he'd get charged extra. I explained to him several times that he'd get paid in euros but he still added on a 2€ charge

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Curry Express is a snack bar combination of shoarma and kebab outlet and an Indian - Pakistani eatery specialising in dishes from the Punjab. It would not be an obvious choice for anyone wishing to dine out with curry, due to its small space, shortage of tables and lack of restaurant ambience. It does however offer some of the take away food available at very reasonable pricing.
Curry Express offer a daily vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian meal for under €10. Notes in denominations of €50 and above are not accepted.
There is a good selection of tandoori specialities, as well as chicken, lamb, fish, King prawn, biriyani and vegetarian dishes, available in mild, medium and spicy versions. This is a family run business. Authentic and delightful tasting curries are lovingly prepared in the kitchen in the rear. The restaurant also produces a "Son of India" range of dishes designed to cater for between 1 and 6 persons.
Ordering on line is a bit of a 'hit and miss' affair and definitely a question of luck. The menu is often featured on delivery sites such as Thuisbezorgd but then vanishes for weeks on end, presumably as most deliveries are done by members of staff. When deliveries are in effect, these are carried out promptly and courteously. Curry Express is open till midnight and is definitely one of the city's best takeaways.
