★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nou, hoe het ding aan zijn naam komt is in één oogopslag te zien. Deze toren staat pal naast de snelweg. Ik rijd er al jaren langs en het leek me nooit echt de moeite om 'm te beklimmen. Vanaf de snelweg leek het maar een laag ding en het uitzicht kon nooit veel soeps zijn.
Wat betreft dat uitzicht, dat is idd niet heel spannend. Maar een laag ding is het niet!
De toren is een stuk hoger dan ik dacht! Daarnaast kan ik 'm ook niet bepaald veilig noemen. De trap naar het eerste plateau is prima te doen. Brede treden en niet al te stijl. Maar die tweede trap... Smalle treden en heel stijl! Naar boven gaan was prima te doen. Maar naar beneden is wat lastiger. Dus NIET geschikt voor mensen die onvast te been zijn of hoogtevrees hebben. De treden waren ook behoorlijk glibberig en de toren zelf wiebelt.
 Well, how the thing got its name can be seen at a glance. This tower is right next to the highway. I've been driving past it for years and it never seemed worth the effort to climb it. From the highway it seemed like a low thing and the view could never be much.
As for that view, that is not very exciting idd. But it is not a low thing!
The tower is a lot higher than I thought! In addition, I can not exactly call it safe. The stairs to the first plateau are easy to do. Wide steps and not too steep. But that second staircase ... Narrow steps and very stylish! Going upstairs was easy to do. But going down is a bit more difficult. So NOT suitable for people who are unsteady or who are afraid of heights. The steps were also quite slippery and the tower itself wobbles.
