De Buytenplaets is een plek waar de tijd even heeft stil gestaan. Waar de grenzen van Rijswijk, Delft en Midden Delfland samenkomen, ligt het buurtschap Sion, welke een rijke en boeiende geschiedenis heeft.
Sion dankt haar naam aan een klooster, genaamd "Sancta Maria in Monte Sion", dat er de 15e en 16e stond en wat later door onder andere Gijsbert van Hogendorp is uitgebouwd tot 1 van de fraaiste en mooiste buitenplaatsen van Nederland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We celebrated our 40th anniversary in the dining room yesterday. Due to Covid restrictions it was an early diner but we had a wonderful time. We were made very welcome and the restaurant has a charming, warm atmosphere. Vaccination requirements were met. The food was great. We had Surf & Turf from the luncheon menu. It was very tasteful high quality food, nicely plated up. A few days earlier I had requested for a festive dessert for our anniversary. The staff made us a wonderful grand dessert with a firework fountain. Wonderful dessert, the chef did a great job. We had a very good time and will certainly go back there. They also have three B&B rooms. The decoration of the place is beautiful. We had a bit of a walk because the parking lot was totally occupied but that proved to be no problem after this lovely meal.
