Wegens het overlijden van Wenckebach in december 1962 is het gipsmodel voor dit beeld afgemaakt door zijn schoonzoon J.W. Rädecker - het beeld kreeg toen ook de status als monument voor Wenckebach.

Due to the death of Wenckebach in December 1962, the plaster model for this statue was completed by his son-in-law J.W. Rädecker - the statue was then also given the status of a monument to Wenckebach.
