M	Mowaffaq Tahir - nutrition expert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A restaurant in a very attractive place and super touristic asking them for green tea and they brought me a peppermint tea and said no I wanted a green tea! Then they bring me a small back with only tasted tea which I don’t like at all... and do you have cakes or something and they have only apple cake. How can that? Very nice restaurant in Zaanse Schans has so little options!!?
E	Elora Green on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I passed this while in Zaans Schans, saw the Michelin recommendation, and decided to stop in. The staff were clearly begrudging to seat us, asking if we understood the menu, stalling by saying they weren't sure if the menu outside was accurate anymore, looking to each other to see if they should seat us while there were literally no other guests... It was all quite strange. I wasn't sure if it was that we were underdressed, but the other guests that came later, as well as staff, were wearing jeans, so I guess that wasn't the case. The food was wonderful. I am a vegetarian, and was pleased to see they had an entire vegetarian section. The amount of flavor condensed into each component of food was quite impressive. I enjoyed the deconstructed presentation of the food, definitely didn't seem to be remiss that it had been Michelin recommended (not starred, as I understand). All in all, a confusing experience. One of the most delicious meals I've ever had, but marred by the fact we were treated very differently than all of the Dutch patrons that came after us. Staff seemed to be more polite as the service continued, but we certainly felt unwelcome at arrival. I'm not sure if I'd eat here again unless I learned more Dutch, I suppose.
Y	Yoong Hwee See on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After spending time exploring the windmills at @zaanseschans , decided to have lunch at Restaurant d’Swarte Walvis. Given that it is a Michelin Star restuarant, I was pleasantly surprise that the dishes are priced very reasonably. The service was top notch and the young Chinese staff that served us was extremely good and anticipated all our needs.
R	Ron's Dash Cam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Server was “fake nice” and noticeably a bit condescending upon arrival, maybe because we had kids. Food was nothing to write home about. I’ve eaten at lower quality venues that have 10x better food than here. 4 hrs later I have a heartburn for the ages.

Service was for us excellent it was let's eat and done in an hour but taking its time the food ordered nicely in time and received a little amuse before the entree. The menu has something for everyone to eat. It's a nice little bit more fancy restaurant. It's not the cheapest and not the most expensive but you'll get what you paid for. In our case amazing food excellent service and a great view. I'll be back if I have something to celebrate or for a drink on the terrace or bar. .

G	Giacomo Porcile on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good atmosphere restaurant in the Zaanze Schans area with a view on the river, We went there for lunch on a Saturday and had to reserve a table 40 minutes after because the place was full, so booking in advance is suggested! The food is good and wonderful price/quality ratio, only downside is that the menu doesn't offer many options
