About De Moestuin Utrecht
De missie van De Moestuin is een sociale onderneming in groen en horeca te runnen, die ruimte biedt voor activering en leerwerktrajecten. We activeren mensen met een afstand tot dearbeidsmarkt, met een achtergrond in de psychiatrie en verslavingszorg. Daarnaast heeft deMoestuin een recreatieve en educatieve functie voor bezoekers. Stichting Moestuin Projecten isgedreven om een aantoonbare maatschappelijke impact te realiseren, dat staat voorop.
Tuinbouw, verkoop, horeca en zorg versterken elkaar en vullen elkaar aan: de deelnemers werken mee om het vele werk uit te voeren en de Moestuin biedt de deelnemers een plek om te kunnen ontwikkelen, leren en zo persoonlijk groeien. Werken met deelnemers heeft invloed op het rendement van het bedrijf. Een gedeelte van onze omzet komt daarom uit vergoedingen voor de zorg.
Alles op de Moestuin is biologisch. De teelt van de groenten, de gerechten en drankjes in het lunchcafé en de producten in de winkel. De Moestuin heeft versheid, ambachtelijkheid en kwaliteit hoog in het vaandel staan.

The membership program for the vegetables and fruit is nice and we enjoy being part of it and pick out locally produced vegetables and fruits every week.

Food is good, but takes a fair (/long) time before it's ready, so good to keep in mind (experienced at multiple occasions during busy and near to empty times). I find then quite expensive and the lunch meals I had rather small. So ending up ordering a second meal would be a common thing, also for the smaller eaters.
