★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered snacks as appetizer & asperges for a main. The snacks only arrived after an hour, the main 5 minutes later. Asperges were overcooked, potatoes still had roots. The waitress spilled water over us and didn’t clean it up. Won’t come back- nice location though..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food but service was iffy. It took a long time to be serve although people who came in after us were served before us. Drinks (tea and Irish coffee) came way after meal was served. The person making them was too busy, arranging forks and spoons behind the bar. Food was typical Dutch fare, we ordered the lunch tasting menu (no English menu). Lots of salmon, and "prosciutto" (it was beef, but this could have been an second language issue) on the open faced sandwiches, but the salad for us was a bit weird with fried bell pepper (cooled) and large slices of tomatoes. Not sure what the dressing was, or if there was any. Nice setting on the water, has outdoor sitting but it was too cold when we visited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my mother out for an early Saturday eve dinner at De Paalkoepel. We just arrived in time before sunset to adore the lovely view, even this time of the year. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were quick to help my mother to use the disabled ramp and side door of the restaurant. The food was delicious, nicely presented and I can especially recommend the amazing "liquid" apple pie desert. We most certainly will come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried 2 times to eat here but were sent away both times at the door. The restaurant was half empty but we were told sorry they are full. Was it because we came with a toddler... We will never know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite the view on a summery day and good protection from mosquitoes on the newer terrace with the higher glass walls.
Friendly and helpful employees but I reckon it was a busy day for the kitchen at the time of visiting. Previous visits keep me to recommend this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy restaurant with the ultimate Dutch view: wind&lake. Lunch was lovely, although the cook forgot the avocado the menu promised. We got it anyway and were consoled with coffees on the house. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is goorgeous!! The View is super beautiful, service is friendly and fast! The food is good! Appetizers are completely worth it! It is a fantastic place to go for a romantic dinner.. but also to go with family! I’d add more cocktails options, and maybe some pasta’s dishes or something else to the menu, it needs a bit more! But in general, we loved it!
