Biking from scheveningen is also a good option, for those looking for a day activity

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful walk with great views of the ocean, port, ships, beach, sunset, and birds. The boulders placed to break waves ended near the end, so it was flooded by a few millimetres when I was there, with waves regularly crashing over the edge from the beach side. Expect to get at least a little wet if you go all the way. But it's so worth it.
