★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don‘t know why this restaurant has such good reviews. I give 1 Star because we sat right beside the water but everything else was horrible. We asked a waitress for a table. They were totally overwhelmed with so many people being there since it was such a nice weather. We were there at around 1 pm and we asked for the homemade lemonade. At 1 PM it was already empty. Besides that a totally basic drink menu, not even iced coffee.
When we got our drinks a waitress excitendtly spilled the lemonade over my boyfriend. They apologized once and then didn’t even offer that we get a lemonade for free??! It was a hot day and my bodyfriend was wearing a white T-Shirt!!
Oh and we waited for 2 Lemonades 15 Minutes and for our food another 20 Minutes. The food was basic and totally over priced. I urge you not to eat there! There are far more nice little Cafés and restaurant right beside the water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The smoked salmon was absolutely disgusting. It was sliced thick, chewy and brown. Had to spit it out. The cheese had mold on it and not the good kind that comes with certain cheeses. Very very bad effort and should most definitely not be selling food to anyone at this level. Attached are photos.

I definitely recommend.
The attention is great, the menu is fairly wide in options and the space is very comfortable.
Good coffee, WiFi connection and different types of seating. Close to the railway station and you can eat something sweet with your drink or have a good lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food, amazing coffee. In the summer there is a great terrace at the canal as well, they have great Belgian beers to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit for croissants, even in Covid-19 times!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool place in the heart of Haarlem. Nice service, good bites and nice 'jazzy' atmosphere. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine and the soup ormf the week.
