Strandrestaurant de Waterreus is zeer goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer. Tramlijn 11 stopt op 3 minuten loopafstand van ons strandrestaurant. Tramlijn 11 rijdt vanaf station Den Haag Hollandspoor en brengt u in een kleine 20 minuten naar de kust van Scheveningen. Wanneer u naar de zee kijkt treft u ons aan uw linkerhand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De waterreus is a lovely reaturant bar and beach lounges by the sandy beach of the den hague public beach, among the several other restaurants this one is my favourite. Though their service was a little bit slower then expected yet the waiters are very lovely and helpful. The food is great the prices are upper but it is worth! Enjoy the catch of the day the starters the amazing burger and every bite on their menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly beautiful place situated right on the shores of the sea. Prices are reasonable, the staff is extremely friendly and you are getting one of the most scenic views in Europe. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice location and interior! The perfect place to enjoy a day at the sea even oft it's raining or cold! :) The food and service are very good. The prices are high but in this case you pay for the front row at the sea. One thing that was a bit sad is that they just had one vegetarian option so may friend had difficulties to find something to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their actual chocolate cake looks nothing like the large picture advertisement in front with 3 layers, nuts and chocolate frosting
Luckily my son still liked it. However, its definitely not worth 5,00euro. We got a single layered chocolate mouse cake on a crumble bottom. Whipped cream added on the side was an extra cost.
It looks like a pre-made cake bought from Makro.
I hate when companies falsely advertise their products just to get you to walk in. Shame on you Waterreus!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Party of three adults. Amazing view to the sea. Great good! Nice service. Had the muscles, were very good local & fresh in September. Service friendly, a bit slow as busy Saturday night, but reasonable. Would return and recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, loved their Christmas decor and atmosphere, went in for a warm drink as it was pretty cold outside and sat on the lounge area, comfy and with fire in the middle of each coffee table! Great for this festive times! Staff was friendly and able to bring the dog in (weirdly enough one of the few places were I have not been offered water for the dog, but understand it's not made for them!)
Overall pretty good and would come back
