After my first visit in which I had a really *excellent* experience (late on a Saturday night in 2014 for a beginning inflammation of the bladder of my senior cat, by a male doctor whom I cannot find on the website anymore, 27.9.2015), I had a very bad experience here. My cat developed very serious reactions to the wormer (Advocate 40) that was given to her at the practice. The vet who treated my cat in this case was a woman. I cannot recall her name and cannot find her on the team list of the website of "Het Zicht" (27.9.2015). I came with my 22year-old indoor-only cat, a Birman of 2.5 kilos, to check up on a wounded eye. She had not been ill apart from the wounded eye. My cat got what I assume is the standard treatment at the vet (2 vaccinations, wormer) and, as we know with hindsight, my cat developed heavy reactions to the wormer (Advocate 40): she immediately got really sleepy, half an hour later she seemed dizzy and could not walk anymore, stumbled for a few minutes, fell on the floor, lying stiff for about 5 or more minutes, her tongue hanging out of her mouth, heavily breathing. No eye movement, no reaction to making her soaking wet with water. Such things, though unfortunate, may certainly happen. But I am not happy with the vet's treatment for the following reasons: * I did not ask for this treatment, I was inquiring(!) whether an indoor-only cat of her age (22!) needed these things, particularly as she is suffering from kidney insufficiency, and I asked for ONE vaccination. As I learned afterwards, the information the producer gives on the wormer Advocate (40) on their internet page is that there is no experience with weak (or ill) cats and the wormer should only be given in these cases unless after careful cost-benefit analysis. This however was not done. A cat of 22 years, though health, is weak, particularly as my cat also has kidney issues (though these are treated with diet and the blood levels are normal) and is very light (round 2-2.5 kilos). * When I called the vet after my cat had developed serious reactions (something like 30-45 minutes after the visit to the vet), I was put on hold immediately. When I was put through, I got the (with hindsight right) diagnose that it was the wormer that was rubbed in between she shoulder blades and the advice to wash it off with water. However, the next day I learned from another vet that water alone does not help very much, soap is needed. * When I got through, the vet would come for a house visit. Though this is positive and she arrived within 45 minutes (my flat is in normal traffic 30 minutes from the practice, and it was Friday evening around 17h, hence this was possible quick), the house visit itself did not satisfy me: My cat had gotten up in the meantime and was eating when the vet came. The vet immediately turned around, saying something like "Oh, the cat is fine again" and then rushed to her car because she was afraid of receiving a parking ticket. She did not examine my cat, she did not even look at my cat more closely, she did not even get closer to her than about 2 meters! My cat developed serious reactions again during the night and the next day. Only when another vet told me to use soap to completely get rid of the wormer, her state improved. I received a bill for a home visit, but hearing my complaint the owner of the veterinary practice did withdraw the bill.

Bella, my 7 year old chocolate Labrador had the right knee cross ligaments sectioned. She no longer put the paw on the ground. I learned a lot about the various possible operations and I decided on the MMP which offers the most successful result 95%. I had complete confidence in Mr Marvan who introduced this technique himself to his clinics in Holland. 15 days after the operation Bella walks on her 4 legs as if nothing had ever happened. The improvements are very fast with this method, I have been very careful that Bella does not make a bad move and I am well advised by mr. Marvan because Bella would like to run and have fun but I keep her on a leash and I continue to channel her energizing energy. A big thank you for your professionalism!

I know Dr. Marvan and his team since four years. My pug Maya had a severe ear infection which paralized half face at that time. The only clinic available on saturday was in the Hague Het Zicht. Dr Marvan solved Maya's problem, since then I have been taking my doggie here. I think they are professionals with a heart, so there is always a cuddle for Maya and I feel happy when I take her also. Dr. Marvan team is always caring and nice so I highly recommend this clinic. Grazie!

I had a great experience. All the staff were informative, capable and you could tell they really care about the animal. They worked quick and efficient and talked you through everything they do. My cat turned out to have a problem that wasn't very common but they managed to cure her in 2 weeks. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

I''ve moved on this area last year , living in Vruchtebuurt for more than 10 years , previously.My cats were cared for by Veterinarians there. One of my cats, 12 years old became sick last December thus as this vet is close by I contacted them asking for a help. I contacted them 2-3 times explaining that I can not pay directly ( due to finances) during visit but asked for an invoice.They refused any help, and advised to borrow some money and than came for an appointment and pay in cash . It was a shocker as invoices were issued to me previously and it was never a problem. Thus my cat was sick for a week, and luckily survived....Last Friday she became sick again, thus today I went to Het Zicht again, asking whether I can buy some antibiotic, to help my cat.Unfortunately due to financial issues for some time , I can not afford visit ...I talked to the same person as in December ..."paravet" so called .... and again..refusal of help....Well..I always assumed ppl working with/ for animals supposed to have some empathy, some understanding etc . ..seems not the case in case of employees of this clinic...I was treated almost as a thief..and nuance ..Money is more important than helping sick animal !!! Well, I believe the owners of this clinic should pay more attention to the ethical and moral qualities of people they employ !!! I will never in my life go there again, never !!!! and will write a proper review on more public- vet professional websites.....Kind regards, Ewa B.

We called here first for an emergency when our cat fell from our balcony. Our cat is quite the little princess and absolutely rejected the braces holding her bones in place. Dr Marvan found a solution in drilling holes in the bones and sewing them together. Because the first operation didn't work for our cat, he gave us a discount on the second operation. Because our cat had to be on strong drugs, she wasn't allowed to run around the house. They provided us with a big foldable metal cage to take home. They did not apply a rental cost for this, which was good for us because our cat's recovery took almost 2 months. They also do a good job at explaining what they do and why. This is our cat's doctor ever since.

I read some of the other reviews and it seems as though they are reviewing a different clinic all together. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with every visit. Dr. O. Marvan is wonderful; it is very obvious that he cares deeply for the animals, which is number one in my book! Additionally, Para-veterinarians Ingrid and Marieke are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. All my dogs love the entire staff and they are always happy to take a trip to this clinic. Lastly, their prices are equitable or less expensive than other clinics, but I would gladly pay more for their service, as it is second to none! If I could give them SIX stars, I would -- in a heartbeat!
