Super nice place with passionate people who know what theyre selling. The only thing I dont like, is the 14-day return period. WIth musical instruments sometimes it takes me a little longer to really know whether i like it or not. But very nice place and a LOT of guitars! :)

I’ve shopped several times at Dijkman Music over the years, and in terms of selection, most good brands are represented here. However, what is not represented in Dijkman, is respect for their customers. Beside the fact that I have visited the store on multiple occasions and purchased recording gear and more, I had the unfortunate experience this weekend of being thrown out of the store FOR TRYING INSTRUMENTS. This should not be the case for a store selling musical instruments. I was visiting with 3 friends, where me and two others play music on a high level. We tried a total of one Jazzmaster and one Precision Bass, where after one of the store clerks asked us, very direct and somewhat aggressively, what we were looking for and what he could sell us. When the response was, we are looking around, he proceeded to tell us that they were busy, and it would be better if he just collected the bass and packed it away. We were in the store for approx. 10-15 minutes in total, but left straight after this comment, feeling very disrespected and unfairly treated, like we were a group of I’ll-mannered teenagers, mishandling their products. Being an expat in Amsterdam for almost 5 years, I am well adjusted to the Dutch directness. This was not what we experienced here, but just straight up rudeness and the worst customer experience I’ve had in a Music Store ever. The one star is the selection of products in the store, but I would recommend going to any of the other stores in the city than this. Even if you purchase something and become a paying customer, you will probably be thrown out if you dare visit at a later stage.

Very nice shop with pleasant stuff and wide assortment of instruments. Once I spent couple of hours choosing a bass and no one stood at my shoulder or asked me to leave early. BUT! The website is often out-of-date. You may find guitars in the shop, which are not on the site and you can't check the price without asking a person (price tags are not attached to all guitars). And the opposite, you may expect that some stuff to be available, where it's not and never would be (like the item is not produced anymore). 2,5 months ago I've ordered a small tool, which was "in stock" and expected it in couple of days, but I've received a call that it's not available and if I want to wait or make a refund. I've decided to wait, but it already took much more time (I understand "corona" delays). But if I'd knew the thing was not in stock, I'd never order it in the first place.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Not recommended. I brought back an item weeks ago and was told my money would be returned to my account in a couple of days. After several phone calls still nothing. Each time they lie to me and tell me they will return the money in the evening. I support the local shops and have bought an amp and guitar from this place in the past among other things. But NEVER AGAIN!

Beautiful music store that is clearly built on love. Atmosphere from top to bottom, offering a huge selection of acoustic and electric guitars, and other instruments. We were helped quickly and got exactly what we wanted. I enjoyed our visit there!
