About Pesca Vis Seafood Restaurant Amsterdam
Vis weer toegankelijk maken! Dat is wat wij doen. De populariteit van vis stijgt, omdat steeds meer mensen zich ervan bewust worden hoe belangrijk divers en gezond eten is. Maar, er is ook frustratie. Waar kun je tegenwoordig nog vis eten van goede kwaliteit en verrast worden door de goede prijzen in een gezellige omgeving? Het was tijd voor verandering!
Wij maken vis toegankelijk op een hele eigenwijze manier. Verwacht geen traditioneel restaurant als je de deuren bij Pesca opent. We hebben alle oude regels overboord gegooid: geen menu’s of witte linnen. Het gaat bij ons allemaal om de ervaring op de vismarkt waar jij zelf je vis en bijgerechten uitkiest!
Op de vismarkt hebben we een dynamisch prijsbeleid. Gedurende de dag gooien de visverkopers de prijs van de vis omlaag om zo de vis uit te kunnen verkopen. Op deze manier voorkomen wij onnodige verspilling. Het wisselende aanbod op de vismarkt is afhankelijk van de dagelijkse levering, seizoengebonden beschikbaarheid en weersomstandigheden!
Doordat jij zelf participeert in ons concept, hebben wij minder personeel nodig. Hierdoor zijn onze personeelskosten lager dan in andere restaurants, waardoor wij de vis voor een nog lagere prijs kunnen aanbieden. Welkom bij ons Theatre of Fish! Are you ready for the show?

β β β β β We missed the entrance at the first sight. It's above the floor?that's a tip for finding the location. A stunning opening with cava and the selection of fresh seafood. We can taste the freshness and enjoy the plates design. Thank you ?β? ?β??the sharing dining concept is highly noted among the other restaurants. I'd def recommend this non menu seafood experience!

β β β β β Such a cool experience!!! Definitely make this place a priority for a fun dinner. They start you at the bar with a drink, then you select your seafood from the 'market', then you pick your wine/drinks in another area, all before they seat you and bring amazing dishes.
It was all so unexpected and one of our favorite evenings in Amsterdam.

β β β β β Unique experience the moment you step in. The menu is changing according to what fish is caught, which I think should be the case in any restaurant actually! It seems much more sustainable. Besides the concept, the food was incredibly tasty. I will definitely come here more regularly!

You begin with a discussion with the waiter selecting your entrΓ© and main course from the fish and sea food that is laid out on ice on the counter in front of you. Then you move on to the sommelier to discuss and select your wine. The selection process takes some time but that's fine and part of the experience.

β β β β β Super good experience. You chose the products from a βsupermarketβ and they help you with the choice. The product is excellent and then is served with a delicious taste. Very good service and environment. Leave room for dessert, the brownie was a perfect ending! The kind of place where you want to come back.

β β β β β I loved the experience: instead of a regular menu, you go shopping into a fish market and they would prepare whatever you select. This is followed by a wine market. The food was good, but it didn't have the wow factor you would expect of such place.

β β β β β cool experience ! On arrival at the restaurant we were given a number and headed to the bar. From there we were invited to the fish market where we could choose fish or seafood. There we learned how they are prepared. Then we went to the wine market where we could choose something to drink and from there the waiter took us to our table. From the table we could see the kitchen, the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the smell of charcoal was in the air. The food was delicious and we will definitely return there again.

Love that you go and speak with someone at the βmarketβ and they walk you through each seafood item and how itβs prepared and help you pick the best combination of items. Everything is sharing. The Scallops were my favorite. Would go back just based on those alone. Atmosphere is fun and service was great.
